This notice explains how BBF Motors (“we”, “us”) of 125 Christian Street, London E1 1RS uses personal information collected through this website. We are the controller of that information under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

What we collect

• Details you give us in our forms: name, phone number, email address and your message.
• Details of a car you want to sell or part-exchange, such as its registration and mileage.
• The car you enquired about.
• Basic technical information your browser sends when you visit, such as your IP address, used to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange viewings, value your car and, if you go ahead, to sell you a car. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

Our website host and email provider process data on our behalf. The site loads fonts from Google, and if you choose to show the map on our contact page, Google Maps loads too; Google receives your IP address when that happens. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details for up to 12 months, unless you buy or sell a car with us, in which case we keep records for as long as the law requires (normally six years).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it. Contact us through our contact page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
